I've also noticed that sometimes the B2 unit takes over 20 minutes to get a fix. I usually re-boot it by taking it out of the cradle and this usually works. Have also noticed it seems to take ages after an update. I have other GPS devices with receivers mounted in the same place and they seem to hang on to a signal much better. |

I've got a similar problem with my B2 (two weeks old!).
It initially worked fine, but then started losing the signal every now and then (v. annoying, as it was start beeping each time it lose the signal!).
Then it wouldn't pick up a lock at all.
Origin sent out some new magnets - can't fault their after sales - but it hasn't helped. Even with someone holding the unit and cradle together in their lap it loses signal.
In fact, I've just ripped it all out and am awaiting an RMA to send it back to Origin. Whatever antenna they have, it seems to be useless. |

Bad form replying to my own post, but I am still waiting for a reply from Origin.
However, http://www.incarexpress.co.uk have offered to take the unit back and let me have a Road Angel.
Nice people! :D
Have to say I am disappointed that the B2 promised so much but has not delivered, but as long as I'm protected.
If I ever get a reply from Origin I will let you know. |
