Thanks for you help, I meant MUTE/DIP the car radio not play over the top.

I still don't think the radio will be able to do that on it;'s own, but if you route all the audiio sources through the Parrot, it should sort it all out for you.
(By the way, you're not a beginner any more, so I'll move this to the TomTom section - other TT owners might find it interesting. ) |

I have since checked to see if the TT would recognise the Parrot which it does as it confirms it on the TT but it then fails to connect; I am confused as to which profile the TT is looking for, the details that I can find for the Parrot are as follows:-
CK3000 Evolution, v1.2/ HFR/ HSP/ OPP/ paring by pin code. There is no mention of the A2DP Bluetooth protocol that Mike talks about, this Parrot is to old!! Me thinks, so I may have to get an iO Play to complete the job, but I will wait for any comments before I part with £75.00. or install the hififix. Regards

For the TomTom to use the Bluetooth kit the kit must support the A2DP profile, without this bluetooth protocol the TomTom won't connect to it - Mike |

Thanks Mike, I think a trip to Halfords for the IO Play unit is looking fav. I trust yours work fine. I will sort this out this week and get back to you to let you know how I got on.
Many thanks to all.
BinB.
P.S. is there a clock problem or did I have to enter GMT to start. |

Indeed my iO-Play unit gets used daily, sometimes with my iPhone other times with the TomTom or other devices/ phones depending upon what I am using, you can see what I thought of the iO-Play in This Thread.
Rather than the £150 at Halfords have a look at that well known online auction site, the iO-Play can be found for half what Halfords are charging, I got one for a mate a month or two ago and only paid £46 so they can be found much cheaper. As for fitting they are certainly easy and shouldn't take too much time - Mike |

Wish I could find one for £45. my local shop wants £75. I have looked on that site for one, most are in the same price as he quoted me and his shop is local and any probs I can call around.
I only know about the iOPlay from your thread, I have been reading all the relavant post for the past week, and boy am I glad I did, the TT is now working fine thanks to you and Andy.
