Loaded first time with no error messages.
Most of the changes i've submitted multiple times are now on the maps and don't need adding! |

Yes, it is. |
Thanks Anita - not worth "updating" then. Any route which goes anywhere the centre of Swansea is hopelessly wrong

What's the coverage of Greece like? e.g. Lesvos and Lefkas (both islands). I wonder if it's mostly the mainland that's mapped. Then we're off to Parga in September. |

I have the new WCE 2GB map and it has all the same old outdated errors of the old one.
No surprises here.
Nearly 900 map corrections already! _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

But presumably to the "old" map. So get your little stylus out and start doing them all over again!!
And people wonder why I don't do Mapshare. _________________ Dennis

Just downloaded the new maps. Very quick. Downloaded and installed with no problems within around 10min. (20mb BB)
Noticed a few changes. One-way streets, prohibited traffic roads etc. all the very minor stuff seem to have been added. Mostly local stuff I've submitted many times so thumbs up to TT/TA there.
The more significant details such as a couple of new A-Roads and removal of a couple of major roundabouts etc that have been reported several times are still not included. I suspect this sort of stuff requires an actual survey which costs money. User submissions don't! _________________ Graeme Bennett

I would rather have Navteq maps on my TomTom as it already has the roads in place that TOMTOM has not got. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

That's not accurate either. Plenty of errors there too. Phantom roads, routable bridal ways and near me a whole new estate totally mapped incorrectly as they used the "planned" layout from 5 years before it was built instead of the "actual" layout they ended up using. Result you get send down a road as a short cut and straight into a Gym Car Park. |

Ah, now that's an easy one. It's a cash cow for the company. They're milking their customer base for cash as much as they can and right now tomtom need all the case they can get! |

Remind me again who provides Google with most of their map data? Oh yes it's Teleatlas, completely owned by Tomtom!
So if your Tomtom map with data supplied by Teleatlas is wrong, google maps will be identical! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Update appears to have gone OK on my 740, with no reboot looping this time round. |
