Got one reserved in Southampton PC World - nothing in Pompey.......
Easy, cheap way to make the 720 into a 720T (and as I understand it with the latest updates it's a 730 without the different coloured fascia).....
Just hoping it works!!! Noted on Halfords website the same item is 49.99 |

Got two of these from PC World; gave one to a mate with a 520 and keeping mine as a spare since I use the GPRS Traffic malarky. Thanks for the tip Mike! |

Still seem to have plenty in stock at Currys Lancaster. But the price seems to have increased - I wonder why !! _________________ Jonial

Whilst this seems to be a bargain to be had across the country I picked up an even better bargain earlier tonight, a mate of mine wants a Sat Nav so I told him to take £100 and off we went to the local retail park:
Halfords: TomTom One (Easy Port Mount) £99:99 but none in stock
Currys: TomTom One (Easy Port Mount) £129:99 too costly
PC World: TomTom One (Easy Port Mount) Euro version at £149
Comet: TomTom One (Easy Port Mount) Euro version, complete with Mini USB style RDS-TMC Receiver for £99:99
Needless to say that is no longer for sale in the shop, its now fully updated running Navcore 8,010 with Western_Europe v830 map installed Latest Map Guarantee), just goes to show you can still pick up bargains if you look around in some of the stores. The sales chap in Comet did mention this was an end of range clearance sale so there might be more of these available across the country - Mike |

Would this work with a TT940 using the Active Mount with iPod input??
And if anyone bought this to replace a USB version and wants to sell the USB version for a reasonable price please PM me. |

As long as you have the accessory dock for the x40 with the iPOD/ RDS socket on it you will be fine, my 940 is currently plugged up to one of these and its working without any issues - Mike |

Cool, thanks for confirming that. I might give it a go and if I like the RDS service can upgrade to the miniUSB version if I want to also use the iPod connector. |

I have never had TMC before I bought my £4.97 receiver following the tip above. It seems to work very reliably once it has picked up a signal, but this seems to take about 10 minutes every time I use it. Is this about par for the course?

Robin, if its taking ten minutes I would say that is very good, from my experiance living in an area of poor signal strength it can take considerably longer to acquire the signal, this is why I have it coupled to the car aerial to aid signal reception - Mike |

Hi and welcome to the Forum, ScottyPro
Yes this will work with the 730. It will effectively turn it into a 730T. |

Ordererd mine for my wife's 930 today. My 730T already has one and I now realise I could have bought a 730 and saved money (ho hum....).
