But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

It can't be the speaker or I would'nt get the drum roll.
For some reason, a search back through the forum using keywords like "One" AND "drumroll" AND "speaker" came up with no hits, but I'm SURE this exact thing has been reported several times before...
Doing it a bit more laboriously (just "one" and "speaker")
Unfortunately, there's no fantastic "fix" in those topics other than "it comes back by itself" or "new software fixed it", but at least it shows you're not the only one!
It's a bit of a mystery. As the speaker physically works, it must be a subtle system error with routing the sounds in software, I guess, and the drumroll comes from a different route.
One final thought..... Recent software versions have started to disable the voice output completely when the battery is even *slightly* low. Make sure you do your checks with it running on external power.
Thanks for that.
I can see I'm not the only one now.
Have tried again, with TT fully charged, but no joy.
Have tried looking for a second hand TT, as I just want the basic one, would have thought there would be loads for sale, with people getting newer models etc, but searched on E***, and there does'nt seem to be any arround.
