|
|
I downloaded your Navman database last year some time and found it very easy and straightforward (and free) in minutes. Unfortunatly my Navman was stolen and I have replaced it. Today I have spent several hours trying to download the speedcamera database. I have found your site difficult to navigate. Finally finding how to and eventually paying my £2.00, I have attempted to find the 'Gatso.csv' file mentioned to amend with Notepad, I have downloaded all 3 UK files, (why three files - explanation lacking somewhat) there is no sign of this file.
Can somebody please advise urgently, a very frustrated customer.
Thankyou

You can either use the .asc files which are selected if you choose Navman as your SatNav system, or you can choose 'Other' as your system and download the .csv files. The difference is that the .asc files need no editing and the .csv ones do (with Notepad). _________________ Tim |

You sent me an email outlining that I had sent camera info in and was getting free membership, this was sent 26/2/06. Followed instructions and sent email. No response back and unable to download speed camera database. |

Please PM me with full details as per the home page announcement and we'll get you up and running asap. Sorry Gary, can't seem to find your response. |

Thanks for the new camera database. One of the most prolific cameras is missing. The one near the end ofg the southbound M11. The one that has raised to most in revenue. Any reason? |

No reason that I'm aware of.
Anyone have the co-ordinates please?

We already accept data for Ireland although we get very few submissions. We do however welcome any data, don't forget, first to report a site and you get a free lifetime sub so get reporting! _________________ Darren Griffin |

|
|
Hi I have just subscribed to the camera database and succesfully downloaded the camera and a few other files with POI Edit. How do I know it is the latest release as they do not have date or serial numbers.
Also is there a list of the symbols and which cameras they represent? I downloaded the voices but there was no suggestion of which voice to use for which symbol and there seem to be a number of duplicates but different symbols. ie the cameras and the speed limit symbols.
The order of the voices in my PDA is:
Cuckoo Mobile
Bell 1 Mobile 30
Bell 2 Mobile 40
Bell 3 Mobile 50
Boing Mobile 60
Bugle Mobile 70
Cow Gatso
Beep 1 Gatso 30
Beep 2 Gatso 40
Beep 3 Gatso 50
Beep 4 Gatso 60
Beep 5 Gatso 70
Polite 1 Average
Polite 2 Red Light
Polite 3 Temporary
One other question once all the POI's are setup and associated with their sounds is there a way of transferring them to my wifes TomTom PDA?
Thanks,
Steve |

Hi, can anybody tell me. How long it takes to update the speed camera database? I submitted some ID's approx 3/4 weeks ago for cameras that do not exist in my area (One of them was in my street and I live in a culdesac)! also some were marked with a ? so I gave the ID of that camera and informed what the speeds were so they could be changed. Thanks |

If you submitted the changes anything upto about a week before, they usually apppeared in the next month's database. With he new verification procedures, I guess it could take longer if they are going to wait for someone else to report the same things. |
