Seems the rampant public disorder/ violence in France has exended to speed cameras: https://dailym.ai/2FtTBJH _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe

The French seem to be a lawless mob.
They rampage around, set fire to lorries full of live sheep, stop emergency ambulances getting the sick to hospital, attack anything and everything. Glad there's a strip of water between us. _________________ Satnav:

A couple of weeks before Christmas it took us 5hrs to get through the the tolls at Le Boulou as we tried to enter France from Spain, The tailback of lorries was far greater as they were only occasionally opening the toll barriers for private cars to pass and were keeping the lorries back. Once we had passed the tolls and got onto the A9 motorway, ALL exits were closed for the next 170km until Montpellier . It was utter chaos. The only good thing was that the speed cameras had been vandalised, but, as we don't speed, it was pretty much irrelevant. Overall, I reckon that it added and extra day to our trip back to the Uk and about an extra half day on the return to Spain.
On previous trips we have had ferries turned back to UK because of french fishermen blockading the ports, Running out of fuel on trips through France due to farmers blockading petrol stations. Flights from France cancelled due to Air Traffic Controllers strikes, Flights from Spain disrupted because of french ATC strikes and no flying allowed in french air space.
Fair play to the French for protecting their rights and own interests but I've had enough. My new years resolution was to never knowingly buy anything french again.
Edit. Oops! I forgot about the train trips cancelled due to Train Drivers strikes. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

We got caught the first weekend at Dunkirk, going to Flanders the week after rembrance Sunday. 90 minutes to get out of the port and on to the motorway. We were lucky) A French lady who spoke English came to all the Brit cars to explain what was going on. When we finally got moving, a group of bikers held back the motorway to 30kmh, all the way to the Belgian border. Coming back on the Monday (it was only supposed to be the weekend), Dunkirk was closed off again, so we travelled from Calais instead. Cameras were still non vandalised then. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe
