For some time and across a number of versions now I find CamerAlert maps when they scroll when moving appear to be hugely magnified and not very useful.
It's a bit tricky to get a screen shot as I'm driving but I'm beginning to wonder if I should continue to persevere with the app as the only way to make sense of the map, and to see any upcoming camera icons, I have to constantly hit the zoom out button which is dangerous when trying to drive.
As I say, this has been something I've noticed over at least the last year across 2 different Samsung phones and all of the latest versions of Android.
Maybe it works properly on iOS but I refuse to buy an Apple phone so if development of the Android version is being downgraded in favour of iOS as that's where the money is then I'd like to know so I can move to another app. |

It's a common and known problem but there seems to be nothing in the way of a solution. |

Quick and dirty workaround (until we work out what causes it - current theory is memory usage) is to do a quick 2-finger scroll up then down on the map. This adjusts the angle of the map and forces it to redraw at the correct zoom level.

Yes, that does work sometimes but it also seems to make the screen less sensitive so usually hitting the zoom out button is more likely to force a redraw of the screen but it's a small target to hit.
Hope it gets sorted soon, it does make the app quite difficult to use. |

Before you go giving CameraAlert 2 fingers remember to stop and switch off the engine _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |
