|
|
I just installed destinator 3 into my ipaq 2210 along with the fortna clip-on. Have the maps on a ssd-card right now. But when I make up a route is looses the GPS and I need to reconnect again. I have tomtom3 installed on the same ipaq, but unistalled the gps driver tomtom~ ones.
Anyone who have had the same problem as me?
Have a nice day!

This is a common problem when installing to SD on the 2210's. Once you've reconnected 3 times it should be a stable connection. |

Try installing to a CF card, there are performance issues with SD which has been believed in a number of cases to cause the BT disconnections. |

I’m having the same problems while using an SD card. Will the use of a CF fix this problem? I don’t want to go out and spend money for nothing.
By the why, great site. Helped me heaps in deciding on hardware and software.

I can answer my own question. Had a chance of ussing a mate's CF card and did a 2.5 hrs drive with no loss of GPS signal! All is ok now.
Anyone intersted in a week old 512MB SD SanDisk? _________________ HP 2210

I have the same problem. I have the IPAQ 5550 and the maps from the destinator are in the SD card. A couple of times it says, "GPS not found". Is that the same? Is this because of a problem in the sd card? If I install the maps in the main memory of the GPS will it solve this problem ? |
