|
|
I bought a new TomTom. Created a TomTom account.
Connected it up and got the free 3 months traffic alaerts trial.
But no mention of the free £10.
ANyone know how that appears - does it take some time and then sent as an eMail voucher?
Cheers,
Nigel |

Did I miss something?
Can you start from the beginning explaining why you think you are entitled to a "free £10".
Why stop at £10......why not a free £100 ? _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

I'm obviously missing it too How can you go to that page if you don't have an account? If I log out and go there it asks me to login or create an account. can't see £10 mentioned anywhere.
BTW my newsletter preferences have stopped assuming I'm in Holland and called Peter and now seem to think I'm in Poland and want it in Polish. Be interesting to see how my next newsletter is addressed?

I think most people browsing this forum will already have an account, so will not see the £10 offer. Could you please tell us what it says. _________________ Anita

Well if you try that link and it logs you in then just logout and refresh and it should display the screen to create a new account - does for me.
Basically, there is a logo at the top of the create account screen which says
Register & Receive £10
There is also a page that describes the deal in more detail but can't find that at the moment. It was from a link given on the box of my new TomTom but I'm at work and can't remember it - will post it tonight.
Cheers,

Does for me too.

It doesn't for me.
And it's much quicker and easier when you're asking for help if you give full details of the issue rather than everyone having to follow a link, log out, refresh, and then find your result isn't replicated for them, which means you're much more likely to get the advice you're after. _________________ Anita

Sorry I have irritated you all so much, it was only an innocent question.
I did describe what I do to see it on my PC - and I can replicate it until the cows come home. Not sure why it doesn't work for you.
Also regardless of whether you can reproduce it or not I guess no-one here is going to be able to help. It needs to be someone who says "yes I have done it, this is what hppened" or "yes I tried it and had that problem aswell" And if they existed they would have responded to the first post.
I suspect if I show you a screenshot all you can say is "yes I can see it now, but sorry can't help"

Unless you have done so already, fire off an e-mail to TT stating that you have complied with their web-instruction and have not received further instructions on how to reclaim the £10. I suggest that you take another screenshot of the offer while you still can, including the date/time in display, to prove to TT it was there in case they claim it wasn't. |

My thought on this is that there will be some URL that you have to go through first to get some cookie set. And I expect that the £10 is going to be a discount on the web shop for you to buy something with.
It would be good to know where the product was bought that had the £10 offer on the box, so that others could take advantage. |

I expect it will be in an email. I occaisionally get an email offering me £8 to spend, so far I have not found anything to buy that I can't get at least £8 cheaper elsewhere as it has to be purchases via the website and not purchases via TT home. _________________ TomTom ONE Series 30 (v8) & TMC traffic

It didn't mention the £10 on the box (XL IQ Routes).
On the box it talks about the free 3-month trial for traffic alerts and gives a URL.
When you follow that URL it describes the free £10 aswell.
I don't have that URL to hand at the moment as I'm at work. Will post it when I get home.
Cheers,

yes, that's my thinking too.
i'd suggest an email as Gmt_Plus1 suggested above.
