On my TomTom 520 the speed limits shown are wrong on the A186 it is showing a speed limit of 60mph when it is actually 40mph, this is a new section of road between Earsdon road (west end) and Earsdon road (East end), this road bypasses Shiremoor, it has always been 40mph since it opened, but since I had an update it changed to 60mph on my 520.

You can change it back using MapShare
Just make sure you only select the sections of road that you want to change. |

Hi, I know the road in question as I drive it regularly for work. It has been 40mph since opening, but it is possible to correct it back to 40mph. A bit fiddly to select only the right bits, but it is possible!

I managed to change it, but one section of that road changes to 50mph and I cannot separate that section to put in the different speed limit, as it highlights the whole length of that road.

You have to carefully edit the selected roads. It does automatically select part of the 50mph zone if I remember correctly. Use the edit function to select only the 40mph bits! |

Try a look at my description how to do it HERE. Not that I should be encouraging you, but I'm feeling less grumpy this morning. _________________ Dennis

Managed it, as you say a little fiddly but it worked, thanks very much for your help.
