I have just found out that the TOMTOM Navigator GPS software in my IPAQ RX5915 is no longer available to update. TOMTOM home won't even recognize my IPAQ. I understand that TOMTOM and HP have parted ways.
It was suggested to me that I could simply install another GPS software on my IPAQ.
I don't know how to, or where to find the info and software to do this.
Can anyone give me suggestions? Is it just easier to buy a handheld GPS?
Thank you |

You could jump through hoops to install TTN7 and a new map on your device, there is a small file within TTN7 that lists the devices and the RX59 is on the list.
To be honest I would go for McGuider which looks and feels very much the same as TomTom and you won't have the same issues with support as you will if you try using TTN7 and something were to go wrong - Mike |

Thanks Mike,
Is McGuider available with US maps? If so can you suggest where and how to get it? Keep in mind I am not as savy with tweaking my IPAQ as others might be.
Thanks-Troy |

Whilst McGuider has good European coverage it isn't currently available in the USA, perhaps you should look at I-Go which does offer US support and up to date mapping - Mike |
