|
|
Hi!
I'm using an Ipaq H5550 with Pocket PC2003 (v.20.1081 - Build 13100)
When I use the Bluetooth Connection Wizard it always finds a BT Receiver
(ClipOn-BTGPS) which I no longer have anymore (I sent it back as it was faulty!).
I've deleted the Shortcut entry in BT Manager but every time I so a 'wizard' search it still finds this non-existent item in the Bluetooth Browser window!
Other items have been added/deleted without any problem.
Anybody got any ideas as to what's going on?
Do I need a registry editor to sort this out?
Kind regards,
Mike :D |

I think it's cached in the registry or another file, I still see the Navman 4400 but I don't have it anymore. |

Thanks for your quick reply!
Trouble is that I now can't connect to the replacement receiver (they bond but daon't 'talk') as the original settings must also be stored in the cache too? I borrowed a working model and tried every configuration possible but no luck.
Just connected with a borrowed Navman receiver and connected within seconds so at least I know my PDA & Software is in working order! I subsequently deleted the Navman without any problem (it does not reappear like the ClipOn-BTGPS).
The ClipOn works on my brothers Ipaq like a dream (we bought them together).... no other programs/software running!
So, I'm taking a wild guess that if I can delete this cached entry all should be well again? |

Try performing a soft reset and then go straight into BT Manager. If it still shows then, try and tap and hold and delete it, then perform another soft reset. It maybe that BT Manager has got confused. It certainly won't let you re-add it if it thinks it's there, even though it will in most cases on some GPS's have a different BT ID. |

Cheers!
Still no luck I'm afraid - I can delete the shortcut no problem but it finds it again next time you do a search and it won't delete from the BT Browser window!
The old info is certainly stuck in there somewhere and is preventing the replacement receiver from working!
Regards,
Mike |
