ill try not to be a newbe however i thought i would post this on the advanced forum for well its advanced....
right....
i got ------ HP RX1950 Navigator
and ------ tomtom 5 software on a 2 gb sd card

when i load it on the pda it trys to load then cuts out and stop installation.
however i tryed it on the hp pda which has 2003/2004 OS system and it works fine and load ok. now is this because i need to download a file for the OS 5 on the pda like a patch or something... ummmm. ARRGGGG it's doing my brain in!!!! help

oh i better add that the navagater has michelin maps on thats why i want to change to tomtom.

I have loaded tomtom 5 onto my rx1950
the program and voices are on the PDA, and the maps on the sd card.
It worked fine most of the time, but has on 2 occasions hung totally and I appear to have lost the current map files from the sd card. Actully they have all been renamed with obscure chararcters.
The main cause for this has been suggested that the card i used was too slow.
If this resembles your problem, get back to me, and i can, hopefully, give you some useful tips
