How come when you tell it to do a journey simulation with no vias or stop off points etc it says 'RECALCULATING' surely it knows where its going to being with Laughing

The only reason for this is it finds something wrong/error on the map?? or it tries to go up a 1 way street or something???

Im sure a pro user will be able to explain this to me

Thanks

Sounds as if some formula the i3 uses has a slight variation and in some positions it could choose multiple ways and is getting confused. Or are they not that smart?? I suspect all GPS systems must have some element of deduction in order to choose the route - a sort of "shortest path" calculation.

what's the route you're trying to simulate?

i'd have thought, like you, that if it''s already chosen the route then it shouldn't have to recalculate?!

I've yet to see a Garmin unit which doesn't trip-up occasionally when simulating a route.
