|
|
Evening all-No Im not a copper
Ive had my TTG for two days now and love it. Thanks to this forum I have successfully downloaded the PocketGPS Camera Database and installed it perfectly on my TTG. I didnt like the idea of a 'voice' warning for a camera site so I have used 'polite 1,2' etc for my warnings. I have it warn me at 273 yards from the POI. It does work a treat but is there an easy way to get it to warn me at two seperate distances before the Camera/poi? Say first warning at 300 yards and second at 150 yards? Please make this idiot proof for me as Im very new to all this and not too competent (yet) Thanks in advance. |

Normally there is no way to do this, but...
If you copy and rename the POI files then load them into the GO and set up for 150 yards you will get 2 warnings. A bit of a long winded way of doing it, but it would overcome a shortcoming of the software.
It will of course mean that you are monitoring twice as many POIs and that you may hit a restriction of the number of POI sets that you are allowed. But a bit of juggling should give you the desired result. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Thanks Mike-problem now is the 128Meg card is a few K's short of being full. I will invest in a 256Meg or 512Meg SD card soon and give it a bash. Many thanks, that really was a quick reply. |

Just done it and it works a treat. Great if I miss the first warning, I got a second :D
I only bothered with the second warning on a gatzo camera as this is really all I wanted to be warned twice about and it all fitted on the 128Meg card. No doubt when Firmward 5.0 comes out I will need a bigger card, but until then thanks for the 'know how' MikeB, Im learning fast. |

It will be Software Version 5, as there is no physical change in the Classic Go. _________________ Richard
