|
|
I recently posted a question regarding the Pretec LP GPS and problems with it. I since went back to the Old Faithful Co-pilot sleave although I have noticed a drop in the number of satellites. Speaking to a colleague who uses a RTK system he told me last week he had trouble getting a fix (Keeping in mind the system needs a minimum of 5 satellite’s).
Is there a site which give an accurate status and coverage of satellites, I have checked out http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/gpscurr.html.
In addition just on the PRETEC LPGPSCF , I feel the main problem with this GPS is that it doesn’t seem to maintain its ALMANAC and every time it reset's (which seems to constantly) its as if it is a cold start.
Also the constant STARTUP FAIL is annoying, since the removal and re-inserting of the card fixes the problem.
Any feedback to the above would be greatly appreciated. |

The link works if you remove the final full stop from it. _________________ Barry Davies

The link is correct but the Current GPS Status information isn't currently available. _________________ Ian.
