Hi,
I bought Medion Pocket PC PDA MDPNA100 just 2 days ago, it is a GPS
Navigator too and on the packaging there was written that it's
possible use it both car routing and pedestrian routing, but I have
not understood how it works for pedestrian routing, in fact when I use
it when I walk it tells me rounting instructions like I was on the car
(for example, I can't take no-entry street, etc etc).
At the link below
http://www.halfords.com/opd_product_details.asp?id=19605&type=0&cat=138
Pocket PC is described and if you check you find in the features list
both pedestrian routing and car routing, but I don't know how to use
pedestrian one.
Please, is there somebody can help me?
Thanks, Maus75 |

Well yours should have them as well mate as you will have the same software on yours.
with regards too updating the software i suspect they will want a charge. I'm looking to put tom tom on it not sure if thats a stupid idea or not as i'm new too all this |

Hello I have also bought pda gps from halfords and I have the opposite
problem to kaus75 .When iam driving using the gps It has told me to turn up one way streets on several occasions and also to drive up blocked streets with bollards resulting in me to have turn around and go back the way I came.this makes me think that its on pedestrian mode. I have read through the manual and cannot find out if you can or how you change from pedestrian to driving mode. I noticed that it does say on the packaging box that it say you can do walk mode. Help please any body if you know how to sort this out. |

i can't get my mdpna100 to work, it says "0" in the gps satalite icon. I bought it from halfords and couldn't get it working even in their car park (they had gprs devices on display, but not this one) so i know it's not a blackspot area.
I can't get it tow ork anywhere in my town either, nowhere worked that i tried.
Please help

Hi Locvez
Reguarding your gps problem try this.
In the Medion Navigator main menu go into the settings section.
at the top of the settings section where it says navigation click on the arrow to the right of the word navigation till it scrolls down to gps configuration. check that comport is set to 1:s2410 com 1
and that baud rate is set to 4800.
I know my pna100 doesnt work on any other settings than these.
