but the HP iPAQ Navigation System v2 I'm on about
is or was a GPS system that HP sold/sells
its a jacket based GPS reciever / with GPS software
Expansys is selling them at the moment at a great
price so I wondered if anyone had used this piece of kit
and as to if it is any good

Well, it was good at its time. We all progress (well, most of us), and nowadays it's performing below average.
