Hello all, just bought an iC510 and so far I'm very pleased with it. Am I correct in thinking that to download the European basemap to the iC510, I will need to buy another SD/MMC card ?. The one that came with the machine is, I think, a 128MB card, and has around 5MB free. If I get a 256MB card, could I download both the UK detailed maps, and the european basemap to thia card?. Thanks for any suggestions. |

Yes, a 256Mb card would take the whole of the British Isles and the European basemap and still leave plenty of room for those Custom POIs that you might wish to add. _________________ Tim |

Are the European basemaps included with the UK 510 or an extra that you only get with the Pan European set? |

They are about 30Mb or so, IIRC. When you have a bigger card, or you can experiment by deleting some maps you don't use now and see if there is enough room then, you put in your map CD (no1 if you have more than 1) and open the Navman Desktop. Click on "Map" and then the bottom option "Basemaps". If there is enough room on your device or memory card then the "Add" button for that area becomes active. You can see a picture here. _________________ Tim |
