Anyone know if buying a 60x Ultra 256mb SD card would work with the TTG?
Also does it matter what make the sd card is? |

As long as it's not Sandisk it should work no problem. _________________ Lutz

I wouldn't be quite as confident as Lutz; there's a couple of other troublesome SD card types around.
My latest thoughts on this subject can be found in this post and the post linked from it.

ive taken a bit of a gamble and ordered a 256mb Ultra 60x sd card made by a company called Peak. If it doesnt work in my TTG its not the end of the world as I will use it in my camera, and have a rethink for TTG. |

I purchased a 256MB card - branded KeyMem - from 7-day Shop (Guernsey) for 16 quid. That also works a treat.
They also sell a card reader/writer for £2.49 which takes several types of card - including SD. It has a USB 1.0 interface - so it's not ultra fast - but for under 3 quid . . . [The paperwork with it says it does SD cards from 16MB to 128MB - despite which it reads my 256MB card ok (although I haven't tried writing with it)]

It's always helpful if people post the markings from the back of storage cards - some brands change manufacturer from batch to batch, and the markings help to recognise cards that are similar and different.
Finally it seems that there are some good, cheap 256MB SD cards; which is all that's needed for many applications.

Thanks - it's always useful to have that sort of information in the forums to check against other cards that people have.

Currently running a Sandisk Ultra II 256MB card (reputed to be the fastest SD card on the market) in the TTG... no problems at all... |
