I am a beginner in GPS. and I hope you can find a solution to my problem.
I got an expansion pack with cf slot to my imate xda II ppc then I purchased a garmin cf que 1620 gps from germany thinking it will fit into the cf of the expansion pack but it did not. The cf is not going all the way into the slot of the pack as it is oriented downwards
please help me what to do as it is difficult to return the garmin gps back from egypt to germany.
Do you know any sd to cf adaptor which i can insert into the sdio of my imate then insert the cf gps into it , can this work and if not do you have any other solution
If I can manage to exghange the q 1620 with garmin do they have sd reciever yet . what do you suggest as an alternative
please help |

First things first. to the forum.
Next, please don't double post. You tend to get some replies to each post and the whole topic becomes somewhat disjointed. I've deleted your other post as it had no replies.
On to your problem, are you trying to fit the GPS receiver the right way round? The only other reason that the CF card will not fit into a CF slot is a blockage caused by a foreign body or poor moulding. _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
thanks a lot for your concern. I am inserting the cf of the garmin module in the right way but it is not going all the way becuase simply the expansion pack has an edge that is extending beyond the level of the cf slot entry. This edge is hiting the gps reciever before the cf can reach its pins inside. If the cf is a bit longer it would reach its pins inside before it is halted by the reciever hiting the edge of this bloody expansion pack. The problom could be solved by something like an cf to cf adaptor or cf extension which i dont know it exists. More realistic i think to find a sd to cf adaptor to fit into the sdio of the XDA or to exchange it with a garmin sd gps if they have it. I am still hoping that you or one of your colleages can help me |

Dear Tim,
I gave up in trying to fit the cf garmin gps que 1620 into my imate xda II. but i have an old cassiopeia e115 ppc with cf slot. However it runs the windows ce 3.0. I want to be sure that it will work with garmin cf que, and if not , is there any soft ware solution for that.
I hope you will reply this time.
Thanks in advance |

Hi,
I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about the 1620 other than its form factor. The best option for you would be to contact support@garmin.com . Sorry I can't be of more help. _________________ Tim |
