Your question re 'no address info' ...... you obviously haven't seen my post with the pictures and looked at the 2 CSV lines I amended for Northwood and Abbots Langley as examples.
I have seen this and downloaded it as per my post below:
Quote:
Having had a look at the changes to the new cvf file using only the 4 columns and the address printed as;
19 Langley Rd Access via alley at side of Scouts HQ Hall ?BR? WD5 0EH ?BR? 01923 269086 - May (Okay, will) confuse some of our members.
Should be csv not cvf, sorry typo.
On this new csv, courtesy of Kremmen, is there a clever Excel way of making the changes? I can do each one no problem.
You guys, thankfully for me, know what your doing, whereas I do not and can happily plead stupidity.
M8TJT.
The vcf. files are all singular club entries, not a block of clubs I am sorry to say.
So, here's as I see it.
1. I carry on with the Skoda destination website for use in my car.
2. Hopefully M8TJT can supply a macro that will convert all the vcf files to csv files that I can then use for the Garmin unit in my wife's car.
3. I will update the .xls list I use to print manually from the information in the csv file.
OR,
1. I carry on with the Skoda destination website for use in my car.
2. Using that information, I can update the csv file kindly done by Kremmen manually, bringing into one column the address postcode and phone, and adding the BR markers (Whatever they do?) unless Excel can do that for me, and then use that in my wife's car.
3. I will update the .xls list I use to print manually from the information in the csv or vcf if M8TJT cannot make a macro to convert vcf to csv.
OR.
1~3 Any other suggestions.
Thanks for your help guy's I think we could be nearly there......
And I'll bet you hope so too....

That's exactly what my macro does.

I can't do 3 until I have all the data in the vcf files.
You still haven't answered my questions about vcf files.
Until I have all of them, I can only do 2 below (and have already done it).

Yes

Done the first bit. Need more info on vcf files
Is the Excel file that you linked to previously the .xls list I use to print manually from? If not, please give me a link to your master list.
to add the clubs which you play at, not only would this site make them available for you to download in csv format but they would then be available in multiple other formats for other members to use.
Just an idea.
EDIT - I have just noticed that there is also a POI category called - Recreation - Outdoor Bowling Green, and it has seventeen entries.
I'm not sure what the difference is, if any? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

We seem to be going round in circles.
The OP seems to be answering questions with questions.
I've given up.
Sorry you feel that way, I was only trying to answer the best I could. I still don't see how I am answering questions with questions though, unless I did not understand the question. Anyway thank you for your help and it has given me a lot of information I did not know before.
That aside, I have uploaded to Dropbox all the vcf files in one folder. I hope this is what you need M8TJT. Fingers crossed.
I got the impression you had made a macro for me to use, I did not realise you would do the job for me.
For my part, I am a pensioner looking after two disabled relations, one in a wheelchair the other now with dementia for the last 19 years. Recently they went into a care home as we could no longer provide the 24hr care they needed. We now have some time for ourselves except we are doing the rounds of care home, hospitals, social services, and fighting bureaucracy. With little time to sort out this sort of exercise. We are just knackered.
to add the clubs which you play at, not only would this site make them available for you to download in csv format but they would then be available in multiple other formats for other members to use.
My small list of clubs is only for our immediate area for our inter-club games, a comprehensive list would be many 100's of clubs. Something I do not have time to do it, be nice if I did.

Right then. I have had a look at the vcf cards and could, with difficulty, write a macro to import them, but is it worth my time and effort?
As I said before, I have written the macro which takes your data and copies it into a new sheet in the correct format for your Garmin.
I have ye to test it as I have been up toi my neck in pressure washing my drive.
It needs a bit more work before it will be ready, mainly the saving routines.

That is one question I am not able to answer, if you have a macro that works one at a time and I can do it I'd be happy to try it. If your writing a macro to import the lot that might take too much time and effort, I would quite understand.

As said above this would be very helpful and I am happy to have a go.

Same here, been doing my patio, path and second lot of slabs under the pergola. They were in a pretty bad state and some still look like they were stolen from a coal mine. Will probably take a few more goes to look even reasonable.
I am in no real hurry to get this done, if you can finish it to your satisfaction with the saving routines, even better.

Here you go. Inside the zip file there are three files.
The xlsm which contains your data and the macros
a bmp icon file and
A readme instructions
Unzip them and read the readme.

A simple Thank you is very understated but your hard work is very much appreciated and welcome.
I am not able to use your download tonight and tomorrow it look like I will be at the hospital for much of the day with my wife and the mother in law. What joy
This afternoon I followed the Garmin instructions for POILoader and used the modified entry from Kremmen as a single file to check it was working. the Garmin unit did not see the SD card and file.
Did the exercise again with a new SD card, same result.
Did the same again for the third time, same result.
The Garmin gave no reaction on any attempts of inserting the SD Card.
As the unit is buried in the center console and the actual card slot is not directly accessible I had to get an extension cable which they fitted.
Either the cable is naff, or they did not make sure the extension leads card 'clicked' in place, or it didn't like the file or I managed to get it wrong three times........
I would have expected an error message at least.
I will let you know how I get on.
Once again my thanks for your knowledge and time generously given.

No, none before this, this is the first attempt at transferring any POI's to the Garmin.
Re. SD Card
I have deleted any previous files on the SD card. I have created a new folder called garmin on the card, I then used POILoader to install the singular csv POI from Kremmen into the garmin folder. This shows as:
POI.gpi - dated yesterday - file type GPI - and size 1KB.

Right then.
I have developed a new version and modified the ReadMe file to suit. Please delete the previous version and us this one instead.
I have also included the SD folder layout as I have to have it to load POIs onto my Honda/Garmin built in satnav.
