|
|
Hi all, hope someone can help!
I have been helping (not!) a mate instal TTG 4.40 (currently he has 4.20). We followed the procedure on the website, but it failed saying "not enough room, delete maps". So we did.
However, now when we try and run it the system says "no maps".
Where did we go wrong?? We've explored the CD but I don't know what I should copy across...
I should also say that we've removed 4.40 I think and tried running the installation cd again - that didn't work either!!
Any thoughts??
Cheers

Format the card as FAT and then install from the CD. You will then get 4.20 as your software. Through the option, you need first to install the application and then the maps. When TTG will start you need to activate the maps.
Hopefully - this will solve the prolem

Just run the downloaded 4.40 upgrade program and do what it says on the screen, but use the options to remove unwanted voice files first before selecting the upgrade option, or there won't be enough room on the TTG 256M card, if that's what you're using. |

Well I thought we'd sorted it, but having formatted the SD card to FAT the application loads ok, but when I try to load the maps it comes up with a card error.
Any ideas?? |

It might be that you have a problem either with the CD, or the CD drive or the USB port.
Try first to copy the whole CD to any directory (say TTG CD) and install everything from the that directory. If the whole copy went well then the CD and the drive are ok.
In case the copy went well and you have the same problem try then another USB port.
Good luck
