|
|
Hi
Just got my TTG, I see its still shipping without its case, or did I just get some old stock?
Has anyone got a new one with a case included? Are Tomtom now shipping the case if you register online - how long does it take.
Ive only had it a week now and twice it decides to shut down and restart itself. It doesnt hard reset as all my old data is there - except the trip it was navigating at the time. All previous recent destinations are there and so are my POI's but the journey it was on it not anywhere.
Is this normal? ive downloaded 4.40 - should I stick with it or replace it while its still under 28 days?
cheers

There are some comments around the forums that 4.40 is not exactly stable. I'd guess TomTom will soon release an update. _________________ Lutz

I would return it to the shop for replacement - it sounds like your SD card connector is a bit loose. |

Received my TTG two weeks ago from Expansys, but it was caseless. I registered immediately, but the case has yet to arrive. |

I forgot to mention that I emailed TomTom last weekend re delivery of the cases. Here's their reply:
"Thank you for your E-mail to TomTom Customer Support.
We have started shipping the carry cases last week.
Hopefully you will receive it shortly." |

thanks Ive just changed it to be safe and registered for the case
One thing I have noticed is that the old in car screen fixing bracket had no teeth on the axle where the 2 dials change its vertical positon.
This new one has teeth, is this an upgrade?
thanks

watch out it doesn't bite you. And it's not an upgrade it's an improvement. :D |

I know some people on this forum have received them in the last few days. Still waiting for mine but only been registered a week. _________________ TomTom Go Owner |

I received 2! I had to send my first TT GO back because the battery would not charge. When I go the replacement I registered it as well and - yep; 2 funny corrugated cardboard packages arrived by the same post for me. I think I've had mine about 2 weeks or so.
Perhaps I should sell the spare on ebay?...... |

Got my case two weeks to the day after registering.
Tom Tom released the Go without carrying cases originally because of a holdup by the case suppliers - they decided to get the Go to market and send out the cases as and when they became available. The current stock of Go's are shipping WITH the cases.
Regarding the 4v40 update - I installed it the day it was released and it's proved to be solid as a rock. |
