Evening
Can I not download EUR - Consolidated by type (Gatso,Mobile, etc) to my BMW Navigator 5 ? I've successfully downloaded the UK Consolidated by type and works fine.......but thought I'd have a go at loading up the Europe wide version.....er...as I'm constantly in Europe.....(not) but when I then search the map for a known camera in UK.......nothing ?!
Any ideas ?
Cheers

The EUR database does not include UK cams. Mph v Kph is the reason. |

So the question is... can your BMW unit accept BOTH the UK and Europe databases at the same time?
If yes, then that's what you need to do.
If not, then you could use something like POIEdit on your PC to merge them both together into one file. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

But the OP says he does not go to EUR, so it seems there is little point. I suspect that the OP was expecting UK cams to be in the EUR database. |

Ah.. I took where he said "as I'm constantly in Europe" to mean he travelled to mainland Europe a lot. I totally missed the "(not)" _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Yep - didnt realise that they were separate files. I know we're doing everything we can to get out of Europe but...
So I guess I just add Eur as well as the UK one.......but make sure I set the drop down to KM rather than M on the Europe ones.
You're right.....it is rather a moot point.....I've not yet (in 17yrs of biking) travelling abroad on one... I'm off to between Aberdeen and Inverness in August.......that might be counted as out of Europe soon !
Thanks for info. |

Well that's OK then. You'll be working in cubits per fortnight and using plastic counters for money if Alex Salmond gets his way. |
