Wasn't sure if this should be here or under Apple.
Just spotted this as an update in the App Store.
New map; POIs and Tom Tom places; Share your destination via email, Facebook or Twitter; Search and navigate with Facebook.
Downloading now. _________________ Mike

Don't think I'll use the social network features anyway.
They've changed the icon too, for the worse imo.
They've also introduced some winding road route feature for bikers!
The app says its version is 8.300 (917883) with UK & ROI map version (885.4057) _________________ Mike

If you're interested, the four digits after the v885 does not mean a newer or older "sub-version".
It refers to things like IQ routes or not, Voice control files included or not, alpha-numeric house numbers (for the US) or not, POI file size, etc. etc. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

that will teach me, spent 1/2 hour updating speed cameras yesterday morning, so have to do them again now. At least it was the perfect timing to backup my mapsettings.cfg but the update seems to have retained my favourites this time. I copied my backup back anyway.
Update seems OK, not sure I will use social network features but my kids use the check-in all the time so you never know, it may get used? _________________ Samsung S22 Android, Google Maps & Camera Alert |

Thanks Andy, I will save characters and time when I next quote version numbers _________________ Mike
