Well I've logged in, still having problems with amending password but apart from that, I only seem to get 1:50K OS mapping. If I zoom in further I get a road map. It offers me the option to upgrade to premium, but I thought that as a previously registered user of the mapping I should have the full version.
I logged in with my serial number and it seemed to recognise me.
Have I missed something or is it another email to bother Satmap with? |

And if you are thinking of posting the result here, warn them in advance. I know a lot of us would be interested in the response. |

I've just received a reply from Satmap, which I'm not going to publish at this stage because I don't want to back them into a corner. Their reply sets out to justify their current stance, but it also gives a small hint that they might modify that stance when they have evaluated the feedback they get from users.
So, if any of you feel that the A10 package which you bought made you feel morally - if not legally - justified in expecting free access in perpetuity to a Route Planner which includes 1:25k OSGB maps, I urge you to make your feelings known to Satmap. If you don't, they'll assume you're happy with what they're offering! _________________ Roger

Davidor I suggest that you try logging off leaving it a while for the servers to settle down then try logging in again. If you still cannot get 1:25,000 mapping I would recommend sending an email to SatMap and asking them to fix it.
Good luck and do keep us informed. _________________ LostMike

Roger - Satmap are well aware of my views.
Fingers crossed that they will realise that they have been less than clear and that they will soon make it clear that they will of course do the right thing. ;-) _________________ LostMike

Finally got a logon and am really disappointed. Up against the Walking Highlands page it is slow and difficult to use. I am using a high spec Mac but the speed of rendering is abysmal plus it seems to need to render the high level map then the 1:50K before rendering the 1:25K.
Guess I have logged in for the last time especially if it is going to cost £30 |

Interesting.
I am using a pretty slow PC with the dreaded MS Internet Explorer, and it all works fine and quick for me.
It beats HighlandWalking hands down in a number of ways.
The ability to have split screen at different scales and styles, the ability to save POI easily, the worldwide mapping capability and "snap to roads" capability amongst other things.
I have already used this (snap to roads) for an upcoming trip to Iceland which isn't covered on my TomTom. I have downloaded the routes I am planning to drive and it looks excellent.
Also, knowing SatMap's track record for continuous improvement, I am sure logging on again will be the smart option.
I hope that early adopters won't have to fork out £30, but it MAY still be worth it (I have not fully made my mind up on this point yet). |

Goldfrog, I also am puzzled by your comments about the performance of Xpedition but then I don't have a Mac. However it still does not seem right and I'm sure the SatMap would not be happy with the results you are getting, so why not email them directly (info@satmap.com) and ask if they are aware of the problem or know a work around. I have always found them very responsive.
Worth a try before giving up on what is now quite a good product, in my opinion. _________________ LostMike

Tip if you want to upload an item quicker select "open items on map" on the "upload tab" in the "settings"
Be warned though if you want to use the the item later you will need to save it before you leave planner. _________________ Satmap A10. Platform 09.02.21, Software version 1.50 Satsync 1.50

I had problems with the password reset which may have affected things. Anyway, I now get the 1:25K and it shows my Premium status as active.
Regarding the speed of rendering of the maps, on my Fairly well-speced PC it is virtually instantaneous. |

Planner is driving me crackers now !!
Uploaded old routes as described previously, accidentally deleted them whilst fiddling about and now it won't upload anything at all,old routes or new routes.
Nothing appears.

Sounds like you are having a tough time Bosun!
I would recommend logging off, closing your browser and then trying again from the beginning. Try and create and save a route in planner first - see if that works and you can clear and re-open it. If that does not work let us know where it fails. If it does try and upload one route either from planner or from your account page. Save it as you upload it and then avoid hitting the dustbin icon! Again if that does not work tell us where it fails.
This is just in case there is some little glitch we can help with - if it really is ****** then it will have to be the email to Satmap, but why not try the above first? _________________ LostMike
