Hi All,
After a quick look on TT website about live services, it shows the new Search and Go items.
Now i Have live services on my 540 and have not got Search and Go on mine yet.
Is this up and running yet and if so how come i don't get it.
If its not up and running then why have it on the site.
Unless this is part of the new "update for all devices" thats coming.

Or is it a cheapskate (sorry, 'Tomtom new and improved' ) replacement for Google Search which is no longer mentioned? _________________ GO 750 Live HD Traffic, Map Europe 930, Navcore 9.510 |

Sorry Froggy, you're behind the times...
there WAS a worry that Google Search was being dropped in favour of a cheaper alternative (I was there!) but if you look on the TT website (try here), you'll see Google is still very much mentioned.
As to why they are being advertised when they aren't yet available?
Well that's nothing new! TomTom's marketing department are known to exist on a totally different planet from the engineering department and the rest of us.
I suspect they may appear in the imminent update (but I'm NOT going to define "imminent! ) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

It's sure to be soon - they're running out of "We'll keep you informed" on their TT Discussions thread about the rubbish range on HD Traffic, so a new update would put an end to it (by doing something new, not correcting the HD Trraffic, that is). _________________ Dennis

This search and go stuff is even in the new argos catalogue.
I wonder how many new TT customers will be ringing support to ask how they find it on the device. |
