If you are still experiencing problems with the update of your current Telmap to Telmap 5.41, I suggest you send a PM (private message) to Tier1 group support as it didn't show URL on my phone as it just went from page to page while updating.
See start of this post on page 1 for Tier1 PM button and email address. |

installation link that worked for me:
http://mzone.telmap.com/mzone/mobile/home.html
First impression of Telmap 5.4:
Some bugs fixed.
You can now use your cell-tower location as the starting point of a trip
But the responsiveness of the UI the application is using has not been improved, I rather feel it has gotten more sluggish on my 9700. |

I am registered in Telmap User Group and I use Telmap 5 on my Blackberry 9300.
Last week I was looking for an address and it was impossible to find it. I tried several simple addresses (I live in Italy), but it could not find even large cities.
Yesterday I tried again and it was told me to download a new version by my Blackberry.
I tried to download it from http://downloads.telmap.com/tug/install/t5/bb/320x240/bisbes/SetupNavigatorEU.jad but it always says: Not Found
The requested URL /tug/install/t5/bb/320x240/bisbes/SetupNavigatorEU.jad was not found on this server.
Apache/1.3.41 Server at downloads.telmap.com Port 30000
What I have to do? I also tried to download the file from my PC, but the file SetupNavigatorEU.jad it downloaded is 327 bytes only and my Blackberry told me: Error or manifest application descriptor is invalid. Attribute "MIDlet-Name" is missing.
I have also uninstalled Telmap 5.
What I have to do?
Please help me.
Thank you, toda raba! |

Working on my old 9000 now (as my 9700 is still in the airing cupboard drying out!) and looks good to me...
I downloaded from:
http://mzone.telmap.com/mzone/mobile/home.html
Many thanks...

This link is ok, but it will work only, if you visit the site using a mobile browser.
If you go there using a browser which does not send an identity string which matches a mobile browser, you will be redirected somewhere else. |

What happens with me using my BB9300 browser is that I go through all the intermediate steps to loading, but at the last step the .jad file is not found!
Can anybody tell me how to DL the new version? |

I write today (3/7/2011) to Telmap User Group and in their answer there is a generale advise:
"In the last few days many of you encountered issues while trying to download of the new version. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
We are working to solve this issue, and this should be resolved in the next few days."
So i think the solution will come in next days. |
