You can create a new account if you wish but there is no need to if you are using oneTT device the TT system (sorry I'm not techie) will pick the device up and all should be well. The system IDs by serial number not email address login.

If you use more than one TT device then it would be preferable to create a email/login for each device.

Mobile camera info is fed to the 1K without any user intervention once a GPS signal has been received. Fixed camera info will be via the web when enabled.

The reason I see three listing for TT live HD under service is because one is embedded into the unit - but not to worry I have 1 year of HD.

Hi 1ee - I assume that this is an update to your thread, HERE and that you have been talking to TT support Question

(My colouring.) The correct word to use is obligatory.

You can NOT register more tham one device on one single account/email/login.

That is my understanding too Confused But, as 1ee got that from TT support, I assumed either he, misunderstood, or more likely, he was given the incorrect information. In view of regular changes from TT, it could well be correct, particularly as he states that it is the device number that is the ID and not the email address.

I think Home 2 is now screwed up.

One of the few things is did correctly was to keep information for separate units and associated user_ids (emails) properly.

Not for me (and some others) anymore.......since the change to TomTom's website.

Groan!! So, not content with bringing out a dodgy new device and a dodgy new Home, they are broadening their horizon to screw what little functionality more or less did work previously. How long before my devices become unusable?

here's a little something for the tinkerers. Assume you're on Windows, and have the 1xxx connected. Run "ipconfig" in a command line window (run...cmd...ipconfig) and then think about the result.

Looks like the 1xxx has a web server of sorts, and you can push and pull data if you know the right addresses. Might be worth to let a packet analyzer run around the RNDIS interface. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/msnetmon.html

This sounds the final straw. Anymore details dhn? Is there a way round it?

When I connect to Home 2 (now) with unit X, it does show the proper model on the bottom of the screen. But the log in field at the top which normally shows the appropriate email address for unit X, now is empty.

If I then proceed to 'update my unit', I get the screen saying the email address does not match the unit and proceeds to show me the email address associated with unit Y. One of the options provided is to log in with the relevant email address for X (which it no longer remembers).

Once I do that, then things proceed properly.

So not terminally screwing up each unit with data meant for the other [even quickfix is a different version for each of my two]? Just the tedium of adding another step to the Home process.

Thanks for warning, will watch it closely.
