Yes I have and it seems to be caused by a charger that cannot supply sufficient power. This trips the battery saving measures and dims the display.
If you change the Auto-lock timeout to 'off' then the issue doesn't occur. I've experimented with a variety of car chargers and it affects some and not others hence my guess that it is caused by them.
I have one charger which is OK if just GPS is running but trips if I then run iPod as well. Both of my Griffin chargers are unaffected. _________________ Darren Griffin |

We are working on a multi-tasking version of CamerAlert at the moment. However it is possible to run both TomTom (or other iOS4 multitasking capable apps) as well as CamerAlert.
1. Start TomTom, enter your destination and begin navigating.
2. Press the home button and start CamerAlert.
You will continue to receive voice guidance from TomTom (or any other iOS4 multi-tasking aware navigation application) running in the background and Camera warnings from CamerAlert which, for now, runs in the foreground.
Once we have the multi-taking update available you can choose to have CamerAlert running in the background and Navigation in the foreground.
Not an ideal solution, but it works! _________________ Darren Griffin |
