|

I was fortunate to get an iPhone 4 yesterday (my first iPhone) and one of the first things I did was download the speed camera app. Given we have now moved to a world where unlimited data plans are no more, could you advise whether the data usage by the app is less when in List mode than in Map mode? I am assuming most of the data traffic from the app is to update the map from Google. |

In the settings page you have three options for the map
Always: requires permanent data connection
Near Cam: requires occasional data connection
Never: does not require data connection
So you can decide between these based on your data plan. If you don't want to incur data costs, set this to "Never" _________________ Lutz

and for extra peace of mind you can also go to the main iphone settings and turn off cellular data altogether.

Are there any recommended apps for monitoring data usage? Not sure if the My O2 app does that (it currently says there's a network connection issue, so I can't open it). |
