Hi I have a 550 live and up to today I often use the live petrol price service.
But just got home and plugged into tt home, which gave me a new 850 Uk & Ireland map and the fuel download.
But it will not install the petrol updates, giving the error ...Tomtom home has fuel prices for a gas station which is not on your map.
So now I can’t use the service, well unless I go back to my old map via the backup I made.
So is this just something I’m not doing or is anyone else having the same problem.
Many thanks,
Lyngarth
P.S All other live services work fine. |

You need to update the fuel prices POI file first - chances are the new map has deleted it.
From within HOME remove all previously downloaded Fuel Price info and Fuel Station POIs from your computer then try again. |

I've often had that same error message from Home
Quote: | Tomtom home has fuel prices for a gas station which is not on your map. |
But I've always had it just on a normal update, not when I've got a new map. So it *may* just be a coincidence in this case.
I can't remember how I've got round it, though.
Maybe try deleting all the previous Fuel Price downloads from this folder on your PC.
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\fuelprice
...and the FuelStationsEU.tlv file from the "fuel_prices" folder on the TomTom
...and the FuelStationsEU.x.fpf files (all of them) FuelStationsEU.ov2, FuelStationsEU.ov2.dct, and FuelStationsEUOv2.ver files from your map's folder
(Of course when I say "Delete" I really mean "move out of those places, but keep safe somewhere" in case you need them later!) |

Hi,
many thanks for your help andy (both of you) I did as you said and deleted the files on my pc this morning, but got the same error message when downloading again.
BUT just got home and gave it another go and home downloaded all files and my tomtom is working fine again.
So I'm thinking it must of been there end messing about.
Many thanks

I was thinking that maybe this is TomToms answer to the poor fuel prices info & all the complaints about it |
