Hi all,
I am going to visit America soon and I have been trying to find out how to get USA maps onto my F10 but unsuccessfully I haven't been able to get too far or even get much information. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated .

Not available as far as I know
You will need a new sat nav unit which has USA mapping available _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

Sadly this appears to be the case, in terms of map updates Navman have never been a favourite of mine and since the take over by Mio the support for legacy devices the situation seems non existant.
If you do intend to purchase a new device consider TomTom or Garmin which both offer a decent upgrade scheme for older units so they can be updated with new maps/ different regional maps.
Another option might be to hire a GPS nav unit along with the car in the USA, worth considering as it might be cheaper for a one week trip - Mike
I don't really understand how it all works but this seems to state that USA maps are availble for the F10 with this unlock code, connectivity kit + SP1?
You also have to own the original DVD that came with the unit (or maybe comes part of the Connectivity Kit for F series, I know it was included with my S Series)
Also a Windows Vista or XP computer with internet connection (not Windows 7)
You then connect up the unit to the computer, runing NavDesk software and under mapping there are unlock options - the data is ALREADY on the DVD, you just need the code to unlock and access it on your F10
Seems a good solution _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

I've got an F10 as well, and am about to move from New Zealand to the US as a permanent move. My F10 is loaded with Australia maps.
Although we can spend a bunch of money on unlock codes and connectivity disk (which didn't come with my device when I bought it), I'm really reluctant to put a bunch of money in a device that will soon be completely obsolete, if not already. I'd sooner just buy a new, more current device. Prices have come down so fast on devices with a bigger screen than the F10.
I paid $379 (Australian) for this thing 3 years ago, and can barely get a current map for it now. If I drop a wad of cash on it through the Navman unlock code link, I'm asking myself how much longer will the device still be viable?
