Searched the forum, could find no references to this, apologies if I missed it and I am in duplication...if so a pointer to where appreciated.
I have a Tom Tom 910. With Purchased Map and speed camera subscription.
I have just sent the device back for Faulting. Its 3 years out of warranty.
If repair cost is too great I may be inclined to buy another on Eba.
Now, can I exchange my maps and speed camera updates to the new device or are they tied to the old one? I subscribe to PGPS speed cameras so camera updates perhaps not too important. |

TomTom license (tie) their maps only to the one device they were bought for.
PGPSW license the cameras for up to three devices in the same household. _________________ Dennis

Just to add to what Dennis has said - if you have an unexpired map update subscription with TomTom, they may allow you to transfer it to your new device if you can prove that the old one is no longer working. If you don't have a subscription, you can use the Latest Map Guarantee to get the most up to date map available for your new device.
The position for the PGPSW database is as Dennis described, so you can download the latest for your new device

Probably not if buying on fleabay, only applies to new purchases. A secondhand one with old map would not necessarily be a bargain when considering the price of a new map on top. _________________ Dennis
