Sadly defaulting to pMobiles "ON" would cause as many support issues as leaving them set as OFF by default. _________________ Darren Griffin |

OK. What about a question during the installation process or upon first use of the program "pmobiles are [description] do you want warnings for these mobiles? Y/N" _________________ Paul |

My own thought on the matter of pMobiles on or off is that simply the list window (on my iPhone at least) shows all ticked and doesn't show that line for ticking, it's on the next page - I didn't know about it until somebody told me! As a complete newbie with iPhone, I really haven't done much exploring with the dragging, squeezing and spreading. I couldn't even find TFM to R!! _________________ Dennis

Sorry for the delay in replying and for previously incorrectly confirming that all warning were on.
As I had mobile cameras selected did not realise Pending also had to be selected to warn of mobile cameras. Maybe you could improve on this.
Having checked out local mobiles again the following still do not give any warning.
MOBILE:6792@30, Heading:145, Single Direction
MOBILE:6794@30, Heading:280, Single Direction |

Given your are a Life Member we could be forgiven for assuming you understood our categorisation system and more importantly, what pMobile cameras actually are
If you did you would appreciate why they are a separate file and in CamerAlert, a separate alert category!
From the download page:
Quote: | What are the pMobile files?
The pMobile files were added as an extra set of warnings so that you could be aware of places that may have a mobile camera in place. They are sites that have been submitted but not yet verified and so have not been checked for accuracy.
It would be of benefit if you could report, via the submissions page, whether you have seen a pMobile site in use or any other information that may help us verify or reject the pending site. |

Never had problem in several years use with tomtom. Can you advise why not receiving alerts for cameras notified earlier today |

The system is exactly the same for TomTom with pMobiles being a separate category. If you didn't configure an alert for them on your TomTom then you wouldn't have received a warning either.

Re #6792, were you travelling in the same direction as the camera is configured for (SE)?
It's also just after a bend so may not have been caught in the 'alert cone'. Try altering the settings for detection?
The same could be the cause of the other cam, i.e as you come off the roundabout the camera does not fall within the detection zone until you are on top of it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Oh Boy! Have I ever wanted to say this!! Read the Manual
Almost at the very bottom is a section entitled No Alerts. Darren has already posted about adjusting the advanced settings. _________________ Dennis
