Anyone know from previous models/history, is there any likelyhood of further updates for the X30 series or is that it - ie TT moving on _________________ Gee-Pee

Personally, I'd hoped that they would continue software releases for the x20, x30 models at least, and the obvious choice would be for NAVCORE 9 to be implemented.
I still live in hope, but my hopes are waning a little, as it seems very quiet.
If there is not to be a Navcore 9 update, I do think we at least deserve a maintenance release to solve some of the continuing problems introduced in recent and current software versions, but with their current climate I've no idea whether they will put in the engineering effort to even do that.
To be honest, there isn't a great deal that v9 adds, so I would be happy to see the x20/x30 just doing what it says on the box reliably. If that means v9 or just a new release of v8, either would do for me. |

I agree, happy with what it does at present.
Just fix the outstanding problems. _________________ TT520 running App 8.351 & map UK&I v845.26345

Exactly my thoughts. It would be nice to have v9, but not absolutely necessary - I have v8.351 on my two (below) and it works mostly well. It's just the feeling, that things have moved on and there is nothing new or improved to look forward to.
It's like having XP on my PC and not being able to have v7. _________________ Gee-Pee

I am using app v8.302 as newer version have too many faults.
It would be nice to see a newer version that doesn't crash all the time. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

TomToms usual plan with Navcore updates is to try and make them more reliable by removing features. _________________ Drivelux |

Same here for me.
Got TT720 and upgraded to V8.351. Usual problems with Bluetooth dropping out and Music etc. Just tried V8.413 which has the snazzier icons but same problem only now my computer voices are all screwed up as well. Not sure how to fix that just yet (not sure what files to delete and reload).
I'm desperately hoping TomTom releases a Navcore that fixes all the problems. I'm resisting reverting back to v8.302 and trying to hold out until an update comes but patience is running very thin. Only so many times I'm going to revert to the soft reset to do temp fix.
Come on TomTom, just fix what's gone wrong so we 100% working units. Not too much to ask is it! |

Perhaps they should consider a new map that will work with Navcore 7,221 - I appreciate this means no IQ Routes, and quite a few other "bells and whistles" that will be missing - But at least it will work reliably.
To be honest take a 720 back to Day 01 and its very nice device, well worth trying even though the map is a little out of date these days - Mike |

8.393 is supposed to be a TomTom Work/Truck application. _________________ David |

After receiving my RMA replacement 730 I logged into the TT site and was offered 8.392 application. After trying it for a couple of weeks I got tired of having icons that did not do anything so I installed 8.351. I did like the new color scheme and icon look on the 8.392 however.
After reverting back to 8.351 I received a response to my query to TT T/S and they indicated that they did not recommend reverting back to 8.351. All seems to be working ok so far. |

I have a 720 and have 8.392 on the system which I downloaded manually after assistance from people on here. Worked fine.
I have now just been offered 8.393 via TT Home. We'll see what happens... |

New Navcore installed via home yesterday for my 720.
App 8.393(1911/100112) which again is the Work/Truck Application which I was given by Home on the previous update of Navcore. _________________ Graham.

I'm pretty sure this is a mistake, and these software versions were not intended to be installed by Home on a standard unit, although if you installed v8.392 by another method, it's quite likely Home will then continue to update from there.
For info, Home is NOT offering it for my Go720, which is currently running bog-standard v8.351 software. |
