|
|
As a new subscriber I successfully downloaded the speed camera database (Other - CSV [ UK - Single file with all cameras]) to my Nissan Connect system on 31 January, and the Nissan Connect duly alerted me to speed cameras as I approached them.
Today I downloaded the latest update to my Nissan Connect, but as it was downloading the screen went blank. However, although I was able to find the database in my points of interest list, the alert didn't sound as I approached speed cameras.
Upon returning home I downloaded the original database and this time the screen didn't go blank, and when I took the car out again this time the alert did sound as I approached speed cameras. So it's working properly again, but I don't have the latest update installed. Does anyone have any idea as to what happened? |

Try a fresh download of the database. You may have a corrupt version. |

Hi Stanton,
The same thing happened to me today, my screen went blank during the upload. To make things worse, it's deleted my previous version, so I now have no speed cameras in my POI's.
I've tried downloading again, and also creating new folders for myPOIs and myPOIWarnings but no luck and I've tried about 4-5 times.
Hopefully someone can me advice on why this happening, as I've already successfully updated the camera database since I picked up my new Nissan Quashqai on 5 January 2010.
All suggestions welcomed.

Further to my last post, I suspect that there's a problem with the latest csv download.
I had a zipped copy of the previous upgrade, so I deleted the latest version
and have just successfully uploaded it onto my Nissan Connect and it's now got all the cameras in my POI's.
I'm pretty much a novice at this, but surely if the previous csv download works, but the latest one doesn't, is that not an indication that there's a problem with the latest one, as I have downloaded it several times !!
Puzzled Jim ? |

Hi Jim
I did the same as you: I reinstalled my previous POIs which I had saved on my PC. They worked perfectly and, even though I don't have the latest update, at least everything is working as it should. I am going to leave things as they are until the next update becomes available and then try again. |

I have had the same problem. This was my first download so have no previous update to re-install! |

The latest version won't upload for at least three other members, despite downloading it several times.
For me, the two previous downloads have worked fine.
Surely, this is suggestive that the latest CSV is faulty, unless someone knows different ?

Don't forget, no one in the PGPSW admin HAS a Connect to try this on, and the csv format is pretty simple and automatically compiled, so I doubt anything much has changed. But it could be something minor...
Have you tried looking at the two downloads you have (one working one not) in a simple text editor like Notepad, to see if there are any differences in the headers etc?
Also, let's double check....
Have you got your folders named exactly as in Baz9's last post in

Further to my post of 6 Feb, I am pleased to say that I downloaded the latest speed camera data update successfully to my Nissan Connect system. This time the screen didn't go blank and the alerts work properly. So all is now well. |
