pocketgpsworld.comGiven the appalling weather we have experienced here in the UK this winter, a review of a satnav sunvisor may seem very bad timing!

In fact it has instead served equally we well as an anti-glare shield against the brightness of the snow that we've all been fighting against!

Prius Hoods are a US company who started out with a number of products for specifically for the Toyota Prius but have since branched out with satnav hoods for a range of Garmin and TomTom PND's.

For this review we received a glare shield for a 2nd generation Toyota Prius (04 -09).

The TomTom device which most desperately needs a sun visor is the Rider.

Think I'll email them. Laughing

Good idea, I must admit I never had an issue with sun glare when I had the RIDER on my ST1100 but then it was located high on the instrument binnacle so kept fairly level.

If there is sufficient demand then I'm sure one could be made but given the nature of the RIDER, any visor would need a much more secure and weather resistant mounting design?

That's strange. Mine is mounted high up too (on the top lip of the dashboard) on my GL1800, and I regularly have to squint to see it. On occasion it's impossible.

Maybe you only go out when it's raining. Very Happy

Laughing Don't go out at all now as it's been sold but I used it in all weathers and one particularly hot summer riding into London, no major issue with screen clarity that I recall. Not saying it was perfect but wasn't awful either.

It could just be that a slight difference in the riding position, position of head to RIDER etc could make a big difference?

Anyway, drifting way OT!
