It offers me .1894 without any device connected, so that doesn't seem like model related to me? Or is it remembering my XL Live from last connection?
I haven't downloaded it yet, of course. I'm waiting for Falkirk to issue a certificate of "fitness for purpose" on it, then I'll ask Mike.
But I guess they're issuing a new version to be ready for the new maps tomorrow (fancy, getting a new version out with XUL runner already loaded! [Oink, Oink flaps past]). _________________ Dennis

Home says 2.7.2.1825 is the latest for me with a 940 although it just updated my app to 8.371.
I paid for the map update service today so I dont know if this is a coincidence or not. _________________ Mike

Now being offered it. Looks like it will be a busy evening, once I get things backed up! _________________ Jock

Sure enough, on restarting HOME the new version is offered. _________________ Mike

Thanks Dennis, yes it seems to work as before. No random crashes etc. Think TT must have offered it to me while you were up checking camera locations in my 'patch' today :P
I did have my 950 plugged in at the time of the update, but that shouldn't matter to Home!
Done a couple of up- and downloads with it and seems as stable as the previous version!
I didn't pay for any maps, so it's not related to that for me!
And Dennis, I wouldn't ask Mike about it, we all know how much he loves TT Home! Or was that loathes TT home? I can never remember these days! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Well, Mike loves Home, QuickGPSFix and Mapshare with the same fervour as do I. The difference between us is he knows what he's doing and I know that, so I'll ask him just the same! _________________ Dennis

I don't think so.... (other then VERY old software versions having to use Home v1 to get updated to a certain level before Home 2 can take over).
P.S. mine updated fine. JaTe, maybe your ISP has cached the download so you keep downloading the same corrupted version. I've certainly heard of this happening before, but I'm afraid I can't remember what you can do to get a fresh version, other than to use a different PC on a different ISP, or wait a few days. |

18.56 hrs - The change of ISP did not resolve - just for your info Andy but it was worth a try no matter. | You have PM. _________________ Richard

JaTe ran the .exe File as a standalone application, rather than HOME updating itself. _________________ Richard

The automatic download of the new application also failed, but gave me a prompt to download again and save the executable.
Once complete, I just double-clicked the file (after virus checking again) and it installed OK.
I can't see any changes and 'Operate My Go' still works and still reverts the Cursor form my personal one from here back to the default blue arrow! _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. I tried the update which installed fine.
I then left the TT Go 700 to update on mapshare as usual.
30 mins later and it was still going - using 100% of cpu but going nowhere.
I used 2nd computer with older version of Home and it worked perfectly and in less than 30 seconds.
Tom Tom strike again!

Auto downloaded fine. Installed OK. Runs OK. I can now use 2.7 on my laptop as the previous version would not run / crashed the laptop so I was still on 2.6. |
