Hi, I have downloaded and uploaded successfully on my Nissan Connect satnav the speed camera database. However, there are no icons on the map. Other preloaded icons are shown on the map. I downloaded the bitmap files and put themin the myPOIs/myPOIWarnings folder with the CSV files.
Are the icons supposed to ableto be seen or so I just have to rely on the audible bleep which isn't very long and is easily missed. |

I only checked briefly (I've got a different unit) but do a search on 'Nissaan Connect' (Search for all terms) - there is certainly one reasonable discussion there, which might help. _________________ David

Hi Guys...
I too have had this problem so decided to send Nissan Customer Services a mail asking them, they initially told me to go into the dealership and ask services to which I responded there were less knowledgeable than a 2 year old. Eventually they came back with the following response:
Thank you for your e-mail to Nissan regarding the Nissan connect system.
It is possible to set the warning distance for the POI. Setup - Navigation - POI warning distance (User manual Page 4-22 in the X11E manual). However, you cannot adjust the beep or display the POI icon in the map. Only POIs on the SD card can be displayed on the map.
Now my question is, is this true and if so do you think we could put the POI’s directly onto the SD card – has anyone tried this yet? |

Regards, | Did you actually search for 'Nissaan Connect' or did you correct the typo? If you correct the type, you should, currently, get 18 matches!
[Edit] typo typo ! The sentence above should read "If you correct the typO, you should, currently, get 18 matches!"[/Edit] _________________ Jock

Havent tried this yet as i dont get my vehicle til tomorrow but what about putting the icon direct on to the SD.
I know the cards say you cant read them in any other machine but surely with the right software we can have a look where the preloaded icons are stored and just drop the camera one in there.
Sounds to me like its just a case of opening the software. |
