Had to send Go 720 back for repair as screen wouldn't stop "jumping". Contacted Tomtom and explained the problem. 1st thing next morning the packing arrived to send unit off, received confirmation e mail the following day to say they had received it and repairs take up to 20 days and that i would be getting another e mail stating the problem and the costs involved. The following day the postman arrives with a package from Tomtom with the repaired unit in it and a note saying that the LCD screen had been replaced and no mention of any costs. It only took 3 days in total
so i am well pleased
Have had to replace all poi's but a cheap price to pay

I had almost the same experience when my Tomtom 720 packed up. Although they told me on the phone it was out of it's one year guarentee they told me to send it back for a free estimate. I uunexpectedly received it back within a few days without paying anything. A note in the box said it had been fixed for free under it's two year guarantee. |

Nice to hear some positive comments about TT's service.
We do have to remember that on forums such as this, we usually tend to only hear the bad stories. |

Blimey thats good.
May be I should offer to pay to get my 2 month old unit repaired and they may pull their fingers out of their ar*e and get mine sorted. |
