I need help I am still having problems with poi’s I can download the camera data base and load it onto my zumo 660 using the poi loader no problem, but if I download any of the poi’s such as shopping supermarkets I chose csv file I unzip the file to a folder but when I run the poi loader and point it to this folder it says that there are no files there yet the file I see after unzipping it says poi file, can anyone help me as I cannot use any of the poi’s at the moment which only leaves me with the camera data base to use on this site.

When you unzip the downloaded POI file, what is the exact filename of it (the full name)?
Post back with that and we'l take it from there. _________________ Darren Griffin |

In which case the download was corrupt.
When you extract POIs.zip you should have a POI folder that contains two files, a .bmp icon file and a .csv data file.
Try some of the advice on the POI Download page, try a different browser, use the 'show link' option or choose fewer categories? _________________ Darren Griffin |

The POI database is massive, some 300,00 POIs so much larger than the speedcam one.
Internet Explorer seems to have an issue with the extra time it takes to parse the master database to create you chosen POI set and when this happens, a corrupted download is the result.
Firefox isn't affected as badly and the 'show link' option also seems to be a work-around that solves the issue for many. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes, Firefox is a good option. Did you try the 'show link' option and download from that? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Firefox is a much better browser than FF, worth evaluating regardless of this issue
The 'show link' option allows you to right-click and download, bypassing the auto-download. This sometimes allows you to get an uncorrupted download if you otherwise have issues.
Make your selection as normal then tick the 'show link' tick box.
Then click download and you will get a new page with the POI download link. Right-click this to download.
