Hi,
I'm installing the Speed Camera database to my new S70 and have found that I do not have any 'wav' files in my Mavman\POI file to use as a verbal warning of an impending camera.
Does anyone know where I can obtain these legally or do I have to subscribe to the Navman Speed Camera download which costs £30 for a year?
Thanks |

If it's the PGPSW database you've got then you could click on the 'Free POIs & More/Customise your satnav' link for info.
You may find wav files, but anyway if you can only find mp3 files there is this hint:
"Once installed you will need to convert the voice files provided above from mp3 to wav format. This can be done using a utility such as Audacity which is a free download available here."
I've used this which worked ok for my Navigon, but it would be worth checking the forums for something like 'Audacity' and 'wav' to see what advice there is about the format to use (a bit suck-it-and-see if you are not experienced in this, which I'm not) _________________ David

Darren et al , this is the second query of this sort recently; - is it worth clarifying the customise link to say 'icons, voices' etc or something, to make it obvious? _________________ David

Thanks David, I'll give it a try and report how I get on.
I have found some 'wav' files on my old Myguide which I'll load on my PC & try out. Seeing they are bankrupt, I'm sure there are no copyrights, but not sure. |
