When new map is due?

As per earlier communication [free map upgrade offer] last year, Navman should release new map in June 2009.

Does anyone know anything?

Their announcement last year regarding this was the same as it is now "from end of june 09"

With new units expected to ship in a week or so (with this new maping data) that will probably be the case

Now looks like mid July according to the Mio website relating to the general release of new mapping data (ie. for resale) - we can only assume will be at the same time

They did say from end of June 2009...

Looks like the maps will be sent out by the end of the month.

A mate of mine has got his for his S70 3D.

I chose to download the map update and I installed it a couple of weeks ago.
Everything worked fine except for updating NavDesk, it seems the first update they posted a link to didn't work.

But new maps (S70 3D) for Western Europe installed and working.

Spoke to Navman this morning and they tell me the latest maps will be downloadable from the end of the first week in September

I got my Navman email a few days ago and downloaded the updated NavDesk and then the new maps

Everything installed first time without any problems - although you do need your NavDesk original DVD if you wish to re-install your TTS voices (otherwise only standard voices can be chosen)

Think they may mean September as the release date for customers purchasing them retail from them, as opposed to those of us who got them free of charge with the winter promotion last year

I purchased my Navman S100T from Halfords day of release, before Navman were selling it themselves and registered same day

I only received my email a few days ago - so perhaps they are sending them out in small batches to avoid server overload?

Chase them though, it cannot but help!
