Hi all, yet again after a map and firm ware update I have lost my typed warnings. Transfered map cfg to new map but no warnings. Has anyone worked out how to solve this problem without having to type all the warnings in again.
thanks

I think you might fine it will happen every time a new map update comes along and it's something you just have to live with _________________ TomTom 5001 |

Just had the very same problem.
Sometimes the mapsettings.cfg file can be copied across. I've done it before but can't remember the exact time.
Anyway, did it again this time and the TT720 just kept rebooting all the time.
So I trashed gthe lot and re entered the settings again.
I did read on another post here that some people have had a work around as follows.
Copy across the old map.cfg file, and run the emulator and add a new favourite and this stops the rebooting and your settings are saed.
I've not tried it, but handy if it does work.
Trouble is to remember it for the next time. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

from within TT Home there is an option on the last page to manage your device.
If it works that is, it didn't work on my Mac for some time.
But probably better for you.
If you have a lok on the TT PND forums, there is an entry there asking How to Keep warnings after the upgrade.
Darren (site Mod or manager ) has put a link on there on a different way to do it.
To be honest it is better laid out than my effort. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |
