|
|
Hi folks
I somehow managed to add all my speed camera locations to 'My Favourites' (don't ask me how I did it, I have no idea)
Anyhow, I now need to delete them, but can't find a way to delete them in one go. I have to edit each one and delete it which is going to take the best part of the rest of my life...
Anyone know if there's a way to delete multiple favourites in one go?
Many thanls

Usually something like
Tools, My Data, Delete Favourites.
Then you can Select All, then untick any you need to keep and hit delete. |

Unfortunately it's not something like that on the Nuvi 200...
there's no way of accessing the favourites folder other than when you want to navigate to a favourite place and then it will allow you to edit a favourite, but only one at a time... |

When your favorites are downloaded (hopefully you used the Garmin POILoader program??) it replaces all the ones already held so probably the best place to identify the duplicates are on your source files on the PC...
Clean them up there and reload... I've seen some tools via google which may help but i tend to just sort the csv file in excel and use the mark 1 eyball method..... but here seems a good reference to other methods
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/27 (sorry not a PGPSW site but useful info...)
You can also delete favorites as arkwright states, but you need to select one, Edit then delete it and I can't see a way of doing multiple ones.....[/url] |

Hi, I think you are referring to favourite destinations (in the Favourite folder) rather than POIs loaded with the POI loader.
On my nuvi 255 I've backed up (ie downloaded) all its files to my PC.
If I open the folder called GPX and open the GPX file therein in Excel, I can see my favourites down at the bottom of the spreadsheet in columns O to Y.
After saving this file safely, you could try deleting the offending entries and replacing the GPX file on the nuvi with the doctored one.
