I have just updated my map and have lost my typed poi warnings. I copied the old mapsettings.cfg file to the new map but the warnings are not there, are they stored else where or has any one worked out how to type them in using home. |

The stuff you typed *is* in MapSettings.cfg, but if you've updated to a v815 map, you will probably have had to update to v8.300 or similar software.
If so, you definitely cannot use your old MapSettings.cfg file as the format is different for the new software. It will fail to read the old one and will create a new one.
If that is the case, I think it will be quicker in the long run to bite the bullet and re-write your alerts, rather then casting around trying to find a way to reuse the old ones, I'm afraid. |

I wish!
Home won't let you do anything to do with TTS voices in the on-screen emulator. I think it's something to do with the Licence conditions that Loquendo impose on the use of their TTS technology.
Hopefully, this incompatible MapSettings file issue was a one-off with v8.3 software and we will be able to go back to the old method of just copying it over when we get a new map. |
