omg, My company that I work for has also been testing HGV (Co pilot) software & that has also gone pear shaped !
The thing is that the co pilot sat nav is on par with tomtom with regards to HGV routeing, so well over a year of following this topic & STILL no further forward
Who ever makes a good one is gonna make a killing. Looks like snooper still has the upper hand at the moment ? |

Hmm, hard to say as many of the posts commending Snooper's product have been from dealers posting using fake ID's. _________________ Darren Griffin |

as snooper uses the same map data as copilot would use (at the launch of Navteq transport ALK anounced copilot truck though as far as im aware we havent heard any more from alk on the product) so that would mean the snooper also has the same problems so how could you compare a product that is obviously not yet available with one that is comercially available. _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Haven't checked back here for a while but as some one pocketed my TomTom yesterday I've just now invested in a Snooper S600 truckmate. How reassuring to see that the people who posted agreeing with my only other post have all been banned for being the same person!
Haven't had a chance to read any reviews here for it yet but now I just hope the bloody thing works.
It was 50 quid more then the Pronav but my initial optimism is dwindling.
I see pronav have a new updated look version of theirs out but after how truely AWFUL the original was I wouldn't chance it.
As for the TomTom whoever's got that is welcome to it. I was fed up shouting at it anyway! I hope it causes it's new owner as much grief as it gave me |

No you haven't missed it. As the review was almost complete Navevo announced a forthcoming update which they claim corrected many of the issues we had raised. We thought it only fair to check so we're awaiting a unit with the new update.
This update will be available to all Pronav owners. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren
This seems a good way to get your product improved without angry customer feedback. They give you a unit - you report it's problems - they ask for an opportunity to fix them - you delay review - they update you - you retest and find more 'buggettes' - they ask for an opportunity to fix them ....
Sorry just cynical old me but this company appear to have launched this product before and it failed to live up to the hype.

I partly agree but it wasn't quite like that, I spoke with them and described some of the issues we had observed that I thought poor and they claimed that an update that was 'imminent' fixed many of them.
If this update does not materialise soon or does not resolve them then we will say so, no whitewash from us, we stand by our independent opinions and if a device is rubbish we'll be sure to say so
I've given them the one chance, let's see if they deserve it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren - it is a couple of months since I asked about the review and - I am assuming 'no news is bad news'?
Can you give us an update please.

Navevo have gone all quiet on us again. I'm on holiday for two weeks as of today, I'll chase on my return but given the lack of update you could draw your own conclusion. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren any news on this update? Or are they all talk, sounds like it. First mention of update was nearly 4 months ago. Not really sure I'd want one of their units actually !!
Having been routed through a weight limit last week by my 2820 I need something that will not do that again !! |
